Before Your First Lesson

Newcomers
Registration and Payment:
Once you register for your first lesson, please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in with the front desk at the R.L. Jones Center. You will have to fill out some paperwork and show proof of residency. All lessons at the R.L. Jones center should be paid for at the front desk. Outdoor lessons in your neighborhood during the summer can be paid with either venmo or cash.
Equipment:
All you need for your lessons is a swimsuit and a towel! Goggles are not required but may be brought. If your swimmer is under the age of 3 please ensure they are wearing a swim diaper and possibly a diaper cover. A regular diaper is not designed to absorb large amounts of water, and may result in accidents.
Personalized Lesson Plans:
The first swim lesson will be used to evaluate your swimmer’s current ability. Upon evaluation, I will develop a personalized lesson plan focusing on your swimmer’s strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, I will provide you with progress updates, as I believe it is important to stay informed of your swimmer’s capabilities.
